Refund Policy

What is refundable, what is not, and how to ask. Written plainly, because the worst time to read a refund policy is when you need one.

Last updated 12 September 2026

01

What this policy covers

This policy applies to fees paid to Algoryn Technologies for development projects, configured platforms and ongoing services such as hosting, maintenance and support.

Where a signed contract sets different refund terms for an engagement, that contract applies to it and this page does not.

02

Fixed scope projects

We quote before we build, and the scope names the milestones. If you cancel part way through, you pay for the milestones that have been delivered and approved up to the date of your written notice, and anything you have paid beyond that is returned to you.

Work in progress at the moment you cancel is assessed against what has actually been produced, and we will set out that assessment in writing before any money moves.

03

The advance

The advance covers discovery, writing the scope and reserving team time for your dates. Once the scope is signed the advance is not refundable, because that work has been done and that time has been held for you.

Before a scope is signed, nothing is owed in either direction.

04

Ongoing services

Hosting, maintenance, support and retainers run in billing cycles and are cancelled with 30 days written notice, as set out in the Cancellation Policy.

The period already served is not refundable. Service continues to the end of the notice period, which is what you are paying for.

05

Costs we cannot recover

Some costs are paid out to other companies the moment they are incurred, and cannot be returned to you.

  • Software licences and subscriptions bought for your project.
  • Domain registrations and hosting already paid for the period.
  • App store developer fees and submission charges.
  • Paid media spend already placed with an advertising platform.
  • Stock assets, fonts and third party components purchased for the work.

These are named in the quote so you can see them before you commit.

06

What is not refundable

We do not refund in the following situations.

  • Work delivered and approved to the agreed scope, because you asked for it and you have it.
  • A change of mind about a design direction that was approved in writing.
  • Delays caused by information, content or approvals we were waiting on from you.
  • Results from digital marketing, where we control the work and not the market.

07

How to ask for a refund

Write to info@algoryntech.com with your company name, the project or service, and what you are asking for. A phone call is a good way to start the conversation, but the request needs to be in writing so both sides have the same record.

We reply in writing with what we consider refundable and why. If you disagree with the assessment, say so and we will go through it with you.

08

How refunds are paid

Agreed refunds go back to the account the payment came from, in the currency it was paid in. We do not issue refunds in cash or to a third party account.

Bank charges and payment gateway fees on the original transaction are not recoverable and are deducted from the amount returned.
